Today, the deadline, finally, of the Annual Inspection. My initial estimate of 3 hours wasn't far off, I put in total about 185 hours unproductively worrying about it and 5 hours, tops, doing a deep and thorough clean, putting things "in their place" which I may never find again.
It's done, and the building manager has a sort of grudging admiration that I pulled it off. Her sister must have tipped her that my studio was a little, a trifle, untidy.
Of course it was.
But the 5 hours, big dividends, and all the stress proved for nothing, clear spaces, countertops, shelves and cupboards, totes filled with art supplies arranged beside the easel, every ledge washed, shelf wiped down, floor swept and scrubbed, closets ordered and reordered until I could finally close them, the background noise of unarranged and superfluous ornament and ideas, of unfinished art projects, collections of rocks, candlesticks, crystals, garnets, all tidied and squared away.
My life, that would bear no scrutiny, least of all mine own, has finally passed inspection, and it's a relief, I can breathe, look at a plan or two to start converting these projects, supplies and ideas into into money...
I feel I should take some pictures for your benefit, if you've known me at all you'll know that disorder and chaos are my baseline, this, cleaning the house, the "settling in", it's my own personal Everest, and I've just gotten to the top.
Now, while I'm on that roll, time perhaps to address a few other lifestyle habits so I live long enough to enjoy the fruits of my labour...

Troubleshooting the tinyMCE and the Chat GPT errors and I'm finding that a lot of other websites won't load.
Even, ironically enough, Apple's own forums won't load. Not properly anyways.
But - there it is, scroll along past blue hyperlinks and unformatted text, the answer, that the computer is old and there's no way to get it to work with the current WWW standards or formats. Most websites, as a little bit of surfing will show you, are out of reach.
This is the answer. Works perfectly, obsolete by design, my MacBook Air Yosemite. I have to try and flog this on, or use it as a credit against a working windows or android PC, enough is enough already.
Now back to the perpetually stalling and crashing HP Stream, as well old and obsolete by design, but able to at least provide a working version of the interweb...

I found this as a Youtube recommendation on the ever-charming Dr. Irving Finkel.
From the blog:
Salutations and welcome to Glitch Bottle! I'm Alexander Eth, host of the esoteric Glitch Bottle podcast, where we Uncork the Uncommon in magic, mysticism and the generally misunderstood. I am also a classical ceremonial magician and researcher into magical texts from the Renaissance, known as 'grimoires.' It's my honor to provide you with the best guests, interviews and esoteric material through my podcast, blog and YouTube channel.
If even just half of his guests are as erudite and informed there should be much here to listen to. Who knows, maybe it'll slightly expedite the cleaning? Or make it more bearable anyways...

And an email, the annual unit inspection, and - as if I didn't already know I'm being confronted with my shoddy housekeeping and the hoarding up of artist materials. I need to find a way to make this all work.
I pop by the office, try and bribe the building manager with some of the tasty kimchi I made the other day, but she's having none of it...
It's good, it's gotten a bit much this mess that sees me heading to the library rather than deal with all the skeletons I've pulled from the closet and laid out upon the floor, and while I'm rebelling against at what at most amounts to 2 or 3 hours work it will - once accomplished - ease my soul.

MacBook Air Yosemite, this morning, writing, all artistic on my Apple. I think to go to Chat GPT, I have some questions, and I discover that like tinyMCE it won't load. I get "Site security" issues, apparently Chat GPT is feeling insecure. And upon ignoring those, proceeding with caution, at my own risk, am confronted with a blank screen.
This, of course, is BS, and I'm getting rapidly annoyed with what is proving to be the fastest brick in the world.
