What a sober and heartening speech Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney made at Davos. With all that's going on in the world, south of the border, etc. his was a refreshing take.
You can watch it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hZCGD3ZTlZw
Compare that with a certain other "World Leader's" speech here (if you can bear it).
The Madman, Convicted Rapist, Pedophile, Fraudster & Proud American President Donald J. Trump: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aNM5m1pAfSI
Watching Carney, and you're proud to be Canadian. A voice of reason in troubling times. Yet there are still those that would vote, even now, for Pierre Poilievre. So clearly we have our own problems. And Danielle Smith still walks free, plundering Alberta's resources, privatizing healthcare and inciting an uninformed, hillbilly populace to join the US.

Saw this in the antique shop and I immediately thought of the old bosses nephew, Andrea, whom I've frequently mentioned.

For reasons which aren't so innocent and can't be elaborated upon here...

Turns out those weird ass AI Facebook videos might have something in them after all...
LINK: https://www.bbc.com/future/article/20260121-the-mysterious-mushroom-that-makes-you-see-tiny-people
The name of the mushroom is Lanmaoa asiatica, and if undercooked will cause you to hallucinate tiny people running around for days. The curious part is the hallucinations seem to be rather consistent across observers...sort of like the DMT "Machine Elves".
Now I wonder if there's a British or European variant that might explain the fairy folk (often seen around mushrooms), elves & leprechauns...
Conrad Black & The Canadian Media Landscape

Canada, other than CBC, really doesn't have a national media landscape.
Here's an infographic culled from Facebook (Not Canadian):

It's a plug for CBC, which - as much as I'm not-so-much a fan, is still the best we have. No wonder the Conservatives want to shut it down.
Now - this puts in perspective the reprehensible comments by Brian Passifiume from the Toronto Sun:

Our media is not our own, it's controlled by a very few American billionaires pushing Trump's agenda. Cancel all American owned media, support local journalism, and if you live in Ottawa maybe please inform Bryan Passifiume that the far right might deserve a few bullets as well.
Oh, and if you live in Calgary, their local equivalent is "Rick Bell", who frames the actions of Danielle Smith as that of a leader and not an orange-knob-gobbling-goblin of the Fourth Reich.
Enough is enough, we need to retake control of our nation and narrative. Conrad Black's conviction; and then subsequent pardon, should be assurance enough of his complicity. Cancel any subscriptions to the above-listed newspapers, and check to see any new subscriptions you acquire are not in any ways American owned or influenced. And if you live near any of these rage-bait columnists maybe stop by with an "eh, brought you a Tim Hortons" and reeducate them as to our values.
Meanwhile, "The Beaverton" does a fine job of summing up and describing the situation.
