And dreams lately, vivid, a pastiche of work and prospecting blurred together, the discovery, my discovery, of diamonds in the glacial tills of central Alberta, but I'll have to move a lot of dirt, blending into work dreams, the owner shouting, looking for the other employees, they're late, pulling the restaurant down with tractors, it's filled with people, one wall removed and they're trying to escape, one more wall and it'll be fully collapsed, every morning I remember them and begin the drudgery again...

And on the tour he starts about the restaurant, the shared bond, the unspeakable, it's in his head, he can't shake it, can't shake the owner, 7 months only and he's already seen 12 employees come and go, he's counting, clearly, never worked anywhere like it, the money, sure, it's OK, but nothing in the world prepared him for this, he'd been warned, plenty, back in Italy, by the relatives, family, friends, but no warning covered this. And he's not sure, what to do, there's no jobs in Italy, sure, but no jobs were better than this job, this money, it comes at a trickle and at a price, no price can justify the prostitution of being here...
He's figured it out, finally, come around, but it really isn't my concern, my concern is 7 weeks left and to find someplace safe to escape to...
